EMDR

Heal From Trauma and Distress with EMDR Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured, evidence-based therapy designed to help people heal from distressing life experiences, including trauma, anxiety, grief, and negative self-beliefs. It’s different from traditional talk therapy—instead of spending sessions only talking about the past, EMDR helps your brain reprocess painful memories so they no longer feel overwhelming or triggering.

During an EMDR session, you will be guided to briefly recall a specific memory while using gentle, back-and-forth eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation (like tapping or tones). This process helps the brain “unstick” and reprocess the memory in a way that’s more adaptive and less emotionally charged.

Many people report feeling relief and clarity after just a few sessions. EMDR can be especially helpful if you’ve tried therapy before and felt stuck or if past experiences are still affecting your present.

EMDR can help with processing traumatic events and memories

EMDR may help with:

  • PTSD and trauma (including childhood or relationship trauma)

  • Anxiety and panic

  • Grief and loss

  • Low self-esteem or shame

  • Phobias and performance anxiety

You don’t have to relive the pain to heal from it. EMDR offers a safe, structured path forward.
